In 2022, we introduced a new way to return CRV containers to offer a solution for people to redeem CRV with numerous drop-off sites and time slots. Our goal was to make recycling easy and accessible, so everyone can take part and pave the way for a more sustainable future, while getting their previously paid nickels and dimes back. With this in mind, in 2025 we are going to introduce our latest innovation: the BOTTLEBANK SmartBin for even more convenience and effectiveness.

How It Works
Start recycling and getting your CRV funds back at the same time. First, get our new BottleBank CA app and set up a profile in a matter of seconds. Then collect your eligible recyclables, and put them in our special bag. When you’re ready, take the bag to one of our drop-off points, and turn your trash into gold with BOTTLEBANK. Don’t forget, your first promotional bag package is waiting for you at any of the locations!

Locations
Finding the nearest drop-off location is easy thanks to your new BottleBank CA app. Simply open the built-in map and locate the drop-off point you need in a matter of seconds. The app will also tell you when each drop-off location is open, so you can make sure to always arrive at the right time.
Once there, you'll easily recognize the BOTTLEBANK tents marking the drop-off point. You'll be greeted by our amazing staff – they'll help you turn your trash into gold by scanning your app, then scanning your bag and processing it, so the CRV goes right to you.
Smart bins
As more and more people are joining us in making our planet a greener place, we need to keep expanding to match the growing demand. This is why we are going to introduce the BOTTLEBANK SmartBin, a high-tech solution for dropping off your bags full of recyclables, utilizing automation, radio frequency tag tracking system and an electronic payment system thanks to the BOTTLEBANK app. This new drop-off option is truly taking recycling to the next level.
